On Friday night, a Russian drone strike hit a depot storing munitions beside the village of Myla, in the Bucha district west of Kyiv. The blast that followed killed at least 37 people and injured 42, among them four children. Nearly 400 residents have been evacuated, and about 130 homes were damaged, including a care home for the elderly. For a village of quiet streets it is a staggering loss — the deadliest single attack in Ukraine this year, falling on families as night came down. We pray for the people of Myla and the Bucha district: for those who mourn, for the wounded and their healers, for the rescuers still working in the ruins, and for all with the power to bring peace. May these families know comfort, and may their homes stand whole again.
