Suffolk Police confirmed on Wednesday that police divers had recovered the body of a child from Decoy Pond, about 320 metres from the Merriam Close playground in Brantham where three-year-old Noah Woods went missing at about 3pm on Tuesday. Supt Tom Pearse said the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. Formal identification had yet to take place, and Noah's family had been informed. At least 1,300 members of the public joined the search, some travelling from as far as Birmingham and Hampshire. The village hall ran out of hi-vis vests. Helicopters, dog units, HM Coastguard, lowland search and rescue, the fire service and the Environment Agency worked through the night. We pray for Noah's family in the hours ahead, and for every officer, volunteer and neighbour who walked those fields and hedgerows and who must now carry what that night held. May they all be uplifted.
