A small plane carrying four members of one Florida family vanished over the sea off the Bahamas on Monday. Mario Lamar Sr., 80, a pilot with forty years' experience, was flying his wife Lili, 79, and their grandchildren Sofi Sosa, 28, and Christian Sosa, 22, home from Great Harbour Cay to Miami when contact was lost about 13 miles west of Andros Island. Police believe the aircraft came down off Red Bays, North Andros. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force and police are searching with the US Coast Guard, which sent an HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft, but heavy thunderstorms forced the search to pause until the weather clears. Relatives are pleading for anyone with a boat or a plane to look. We pray for Mario, Lili, Sofi and Christian, that they may be found alive; for the family waiting in Miami; and for every searcher on the water and in the air, that the skies clear and the search be swift.
