Our church is splitting apart. A disagreement over leadership has turned into a full-blown division that has destroyed friendships, divided families, and poisoned what was once a loving community. It started small — a difference of opinion about the direction of our outreach programs. But egos got involved, sides were chosen, and before anyone realized what was happening, the church that had been our family for decades became a battlefield. Sunday mornings, once filled with joy and fellowship, are now tense and awkward. People who used to share meals together now sit on opposite sides of the sanctuary. The parking lot after service has become a place of whispered conversations and pointed glances. The children are confused. The elderly members are heartbroken. And the community we serve — the people who depend on us for food programs, counseling, and support — are caught in the crossfire of our inability to resolve our differences. I am asking for prayers for reconciliation. Not the kind where one side wins and the other loses, but the kind where everyone remembers why we came together in the first place. Pray for humility, for forgiveness, for leaders who put unity above ego, and for the courage to choose love over being right.
